This is the second time that I have called on the wonderful team at McNaha Care to provide live-in care cover for my nonagenarian mother while our regular living carer was on an extended holiday. From the attention to detail at the initial assessment I knew that my mother would be in good hands. And
so it was. The carer made sure that my mother was comfortable and well-fed, that medication was given on time, and that personal care was discreet and dignified. The carer also spent time talking with my mother, which they both enjoyed. As a bonus, the carer was a really good cook, so my mother ate very well and very healthily. And when the bill came it was competitive and as quoted/agreed, so definitely good value for money. All in all I am very happy with the service provided and the price charged (and so is my mother), and I have no hesitation in recommending the McNaha Care team to you.

End-of-life care for my father.
I recommend McNaha Health Services wholeheartedly to anyone needing support in the home for an elderly relative.
All staff were kind, gentle, supportive, practical and efficient. They gave advice but supported me in my decisions. Their visits brought cheerfulness into
our home. The team of wonderful people started to care for my father in June 2023 until October. Always respectful and remembering the need for dignity during personal care.
The manager is gentle and calm, with many years of experience in the NHS. She guided me in dealing with other healthcare professionals: GP, palliative care team, district nurses, and equipment suppliers. She encouraged me to ask for help from them when needed.
My father wished to stay at home until the end. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without her help. She was prepared to work with other carers not employed by her. She never let us down.
I will forever be grateful.
Thank you.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.500) out of 10 for McNaha Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for McNaha Care is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for McNaha Care is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
