Goldcrest Healthcare Service, have been providing service to my mother for the past year. My mother has Dementia and doesn't remember much from one minute to the next. I am the son and live with her and my father who also has Dementia. I am writing this review, due to the dissatisfaction of the service
provided by the carers being sent out, to aid my mother with a shower. The carers stand around outside the shower room, whilst my mother has a shower, then once finished they never clean and wipe down the shower room. They hardly ever do anything else like make breakfast or anything else that is commensurate as stated and written in the promise of service they have given in my mother's service file. I have over the year made many complaints to management, i.e. of, lateness of service (sometimes up to 2hrs), or not even turning up!... But nothing has been done, to rectify these issues.
I have a home CCTV, for safety and monitoring purposes.

We acted swiftly on receiving concerns from the client's son. The social service support plan only includes assistance with showers in the morning. The care staff assists the client with showers and wipes clean the shower room. The social work team were also intimated of the son's concerns and our corrective actions. Son has not been satisfied with even a change of staff. We offered to reduce the care call timing as his mother was only taking 30 minutes to complete the shower. The client does not like carers to do any other task except assistance in showering. She gets agitated if carers insist to assist in any other task. The property does not have a camera upstairs and the son is unable to go upstairs. The social work team is aware of the son's persistent dissatisfaction despite our best efforts. We are committed to offering the best possible service in the prescribed time and mandated care plan. We will endeavour to approach the family to once again address their concerns and achieve an outcome to complainant's satisfaction.
