My name is Jane and I am the Group Head of Operations at Alcedo Care.

With over 20 years of experience in Operations, spanning both commercial enterprises and the healthcare sector, I was immediately drawn to Alcedo Care after meeting its Directors, Jo and Andy.

The company's strong reputation, unwavering focus on delivering outstanding care, and genuine investment in its staff made it an exciting opportunity. I was particularly inspired by Alcedo Care's commitment to its core values, its family-like culture, and ambitious growth plans. The diverse range of services, including children's care, nursing, and various domiciliary and complex care packages, further confirmed that this was the right organisation for me.

My career initially began in a very different field—Marine Biology. I studied at the University of St. Andrews, conducted research at the North American Arctic Research Center, and even spent a summer on a small island in the Bristol Channel. Along the way, I gained some unique skills, from driving tractors to caring for rescued seal pups.

Transitioning into Operations across various commercial industries provided me with a deep understanding of operational management, including overseeing global exhibition projects for major brands. However, as my priorities shifted, particularly with my daughters growing up, I felt drawn to the care sector. That decision changed everything—I found a true passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives through my work.

My extensive experience in both commercial and healthcare settings has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, helping me navigate operational challenges and ensure seamless service delivery. What truly motivates me is ensuring that our dedicated staff feel valued, supported, and engaged, so they can provide the best personalised care for those we support.

As the Group Head of Operations, my focus is on driving operational excellence, identifying areas for improvement, ensuring the highest quality standards, and supporting the continued growth of our services. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where both our clients and staff feel valued, supported, and confident in the care we provide.

Hi, I am Faye Fenton and I am the Operations Manager at Alcedo Care. My role in short is to oversee the day-to-day running of our homecare service. I am responsible for ensuring that our service meets all legal and regulatory requirements (according to CQC), and ultimately ensure that we are providing excellent quality, person-centred care to our clients.

I have worked in the care sector since I was 18. I have always enjoyed working within the sector and have always wanted to make a difference in the way that home care is delivered.

I have worked in the health and social care sector for many years and am passionate about delivering the highest standards of care. My name is Tania Khatun and I am the deputy manager at the Alcedo Care Trafford Branch. I have been working in the care sector since 2016. I started as a carer and over the last 4 years I have been a field care supervisor, care assessor and care co-ordinator. I also worked as an assessment and support planner with Rochdale council before joining Alcedo Care Bury in August 2023 and joined the Trafford branch in February 2024

I am very much a family-orientated person and in my spare time, I spend my time with my 3 boys, my sister and her family. I love going out for meals and family games nights.

I am excited to work with the team at Trafford and progress with Alcedo Care and support our service to grow, develop and provide outstanding care.

Hi, my name is Sharon and I am the Care Coordinator for Alcedo Care Trafford. My role involves allocating our care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, and aligning them to our client’s needs.

Hello my name is Hannah

I work in recruitment for the Trafford branch, I have worked in the care sector since 2011, I started as a care assistant, and I moved around various roles, mental health, complex, and rehabilitation, I then worked as a care Co-Ordinator I took voluntary redundancy.

I then joined Alcedo Care as a care assistant in October 2023, I have recently moved to the Trafford branch as the recruiter. I am looking forward to working with the team at Trafford to recruit the best staff for our clients.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends, I enjoy visiting new places and going out for meals.

I am happy to develop myself within Alcedo Care and really excited to see our branch flourish.
