Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Allied services have provided a reliable service in caring for my mother in her home. The carer is very good at communicating and giving a report after every visit and is always available and willing to discuss any concerns. The carer is efficient, pays attention to detail and offers high-quality care
for my mum in her own home, which we are very grateful for.

This company have provided personal care for my elderly mother, for 3 mornings a week, since early April. They have been very professional, kind, efficient, caring and empathetic to her needs. I, personally, have appreciated their knowledge and advice with regard to caring for my mum. They bring a smile
(and more often a laugh) to Mum's face, which is lovely.

I employed these carers to provide my mother with intimate care. She is totally dependent.
The care was adequate but rushed and my mother was getting distressed at every visit. In order to try and provide my mum with some more suitable care I asked my mum's existing carer whom she has had for a few
years to trial a few mornings where the pace was slower, just to see if this made a difference. I offered to still pay for Allied service visits during the trial and just stated that they could miss the 3 mornings that next week.
Their response was to fire us as of immediate effect thus leaving my mother with no care at all instantly apart from the three trial mornings.
Also, the manager chased up invoices on the same day they were emailed and harassed for payment even contacting family members who have nothing to do with things.
I don't think it is at all professional to abandon a dependent lady and that invoices from companies like this should allow at least a week for payment.

Thank you for your review. However, as a company, we do not share packages, especially when working with vulnerable people; we discussed this with you. We were not given any notice; you informed us that we would be working with your carer who was not employed by us, two days before they started. This is the reason we decided to give the package back. We do not rush our visits; instead, we accommodate the times you provide. You can also request flexibility from us as we strive to be accommodating.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.5 (7.500) out of 10 for Allied Service is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.000 for Allied Service is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 4

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Allied Service is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
