Needing a carer can be a difficult decision to make. Allowing a stranger into your home. It's only been a few weeks since I contacted Home Instead and was introduced to my carer, and it was the best decision. Not only do they care for your needs but also help to keep the your home as you like it.
My carer is kind, empathic to my needs . She has taken time to understand my needs and often goes about doing a job without asking but knowing that it is what I needed. The back up to the system is invaluable. Knowing the if your carer cannot attend an appointment another carer will placed with you. They try very hard to make sure that the carer has a similar personality to your own so that the working relationship blends together.
I cannot praise the Home Instead/ Homecare enough. Always on the end of the telephone line if needed.
I thank you for making my life so much easier and safer

A company that actually cares.
Home Instead were fantastic with my Grandad (Gramps). The team managed to put in place a structure that really suited Gramps and meant we were able to keep him at home for his final months.
It made a huge difference to me and my Granny, knowing that the carer's actually
cared.
Can't sing their praises enough, a really caring care company.
Thank you.

Home Instead are an excellent and reliable company with caring staff. It was really important to us that the carers are a small team and the two girls have now built a relationship with Mum. We hope this will continue and as she’s going into her 98th year we can continue to keep her at home.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

Hi, I’m Mandy, the Managing Director of Home Instead in the Pocklington & Brough area. I was born and raised in the U.S., then married a Yorkshireman so have lived in the UK since 2005. After many years of working in the financial services sector, I was very eager to find a way to do something that would benefit my community and so in 2019 I started Home Instead in Beverley & Hull. We've grown quickly since then and have had the privilege of working with some wonderful clients and their families.
In 2023 we took the decision to expand our services out into the Pocklington and Brough areas, serving the communities from the edge of Hull to the edge of York.

We're delighted to be able to bring the outstanding standard of care provided by Home Instead to more people throughout the region.

Hi, I’m Jennie and I’ve spent over 30 years working within the care industry. My experience includes managing sheltered housing for older people, running a 135-apartment retirement care village and being a registered manager for a charitable trust. I’ve gained my NVQ Registered Managers award and am also a qualified OTAGO programme instructor, a programme that facilitates strength and balance exercises for older people helping to prevent falls at home.

I was drawn to Home Instead because of our shared view of care and support for people in their own homes. It’s clear that Home Instead provide quality service and I want to build upon the already amazing team to deliver an efficient, reliable caring service for our clients.

I'm excited to help clients throughout the region and bring our person-centred care to all of the East Riding.

Hi, I'm Diana the Client Experience Manager for Home Instead in Pocklington & Brough. I joined Home Instead in 2023 from a charity based in Hull called Home from Hospital. I'd known about Home Instead for a few years since they opened in Beverley and found that they shared our values in caring for members of the community and putting the needs of the individual first.

Prior to Home from Hospital, I was a practice manager for a GP surgery and understand the challenges faced by social care. I'll be busy ensuring our clients receive the care they want when they want it from well-trained, compassionate care professionals who have interests in common.
