Bluebird Care Aberdeen have been outstanding in setting care up for my aunty. They help with lots of other additional issues that have arisen. They are kind and compassionate, turn up at the set time. They have been flexible and adapted their care as my aunty's needs have changed over the last six months.

We are generally happy with care provided. Management seem competent, understanding and responsive.
Carers vary in quality. We must have had six or seven over four months. Some are better than others at reading the day's requirements: if the soap isn't wet, client hasn't washed. If bed isn't unmade
then client hasn't been in it. No dirty dishes, client hasn't eaten.
Some carers are more flexible and will look around for what the client may need help with whilst some are happy to adhere to tasks listed on their client job sheet. Some are better than others at interacting with client and a couple have been observed singing hymns along with client.

As MD of Bluebird Care Aberdeenshire, I take immense pride in delivering the highest standard of care and support to my local community.

I started Bluebird Care Aberdeenshire in June 2023 having left my employment as Store Manager of a successful chain of Aldi Stores in Aberdeen. At that time I felt that my commercial skills and experience were well suited to the Bluebird Care franchise model and decided to be my own boss for the first time. It was a big step for me and a bit scary, but I was confident that I could make a difference in the Care Sector and wanted us to be the best in the county.

My team and I are extremely passionate about keeping the vulnerable amongst us safe and happy in the homes they love, which often means with their beloved pets too.

Our combined passion and team ethos are to ensure each and every one of our customers look forward to our visits and that we leave them safe, well cared for and with a smile on their faces.

In addition, we understand the worry that family members face when selecting care for their loved ones. With this in mind, I personally ensure my care team maintain regular contact with family members to keep them abreast, comfortable and confident that their family member is receiving the best possible, individual care package.

I have worked in retail sector for 18 years in a senior role, but I have always had the passion to help the community, therefore joining the Healthcare sector will bring my attributes and skills to value. I am a strong advocate of individual and bespoke care; no two people are the same, no two needs are the same and therefore, no care package should be the same.

Bluebird Care allowed me the opportunity to really make this happen and that’s why I joined this wonderful family and set-up Bluebird Care Aberdeenshire.

I am the Registered Manager at Bluebird Care Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, I started in September 2023. I have been in social care for the past 3 years. I have experience working in residential mental health facilities, and in providing Care At Home services. I joined Bluebird Care to expand the care provisions available to the city and shire and to help provide a reliable, worthwhile service. I take pride in supporting those from all walks of life, and making a difference in their daily living.

I am a local to Aberdeen, and have been most of my life, so being able to work with the community is really important to me. I think that Aberdeen has a lot to offer, and that we should use local resources and programmes as much as we can, to support each other. That is why I was excited to join Bluebird Care as they embark on this new adventure in Aberdeen and the shire! I am looking forward to being able to build customer focused care packages for our community, and ensure they are being kept safe and well. We are all different, after all, so our care should be as well!

The team at Bluebird Care we will build at Bluebird Care Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are passionate about providing high quality care and support. We take the time to get to know each customer and their needs, in order co-ordinate with them appropriately.

I was drawn to the care industry after studying Psychology at University. I have always wanted to work in an industry that is designed to help people, and care allowed me to do that. I enjoy supporting individuals to live their lives as independently as possible, and being able to enrich their lives as well.

Outside of work, I spend time walking my cocker spaniel – Lola. She keeps me very busy and is a little bonkers. I enjoy going to hockey games, and relaxing in the garden.
