Right at Home are a responsive care provider with good communication and committed staff who genuinely care for their clients, especially the manager, who doesn't just do office work like many from other agencies. She and individual carers will work hard to make sure your special events can be supported
as well as every day care.

Your mum is a joy to spend time with, and we love making each visit meaningful-whether through art, reminiscing, or making dream catchers. She has particularly enjoyed trips to a lake in the area, nature reserve, garden centre and art centre, always with time for coffee, cake, or ice cream while chatting about life. Our visit to the art centre was especially memorable, and while memories may fade, we leave little notes or sunflowers as familiar reminders. The most touching part is that she always gives us a kiss on the cheek-a beautiful sign that the warmth and connection remain. We understand that value for money is important, which is why our hour-long visits provide the best experience allowing time for meaningful engagement, familiarity and continuity of care. Right at Home have been caring for my Mother who suffers from Vascular Dementia.
Her memory issues have gradually increased over the past few months and the registered manager and the team have been very accommodating whenever I've requested extra help to cover her needs. It's such a relief to know
that she's in safe hands and that all members of the team have been extremely caring, efficient, and supportive.
Thanks to you all for everything you've done to help my Mother live independently in her own home.

Right at Home North Leeds provided support and care for my aunt in her own home for the last few months of her life. From the start Right at Home were easy to contact and communicate with. In our contacts with the team, it was clear that they put my aunt's needs and wishes at the centre of providing
support for her.
We really liked the way that the managers came to meet my aunt and got to know her a little so that they could match the staff from the team who would support her, with my aunt's needs and personality. My aunt spoke about the fact that everyone who came to support her were very respectful and friendly.
We also found the team to be really helpful and flexible in providing support - it was helpful that they could sometimes take her to appointments and also to provide extra support at times when family members and other support were unable to do their regular visits.
I would recommend Right at Home North Leeds without hesitation to anyone needing support in their own home.

My 99-year-old dad needed support after injuries to both arms. We chose Right at Home as their pitch placed greater emphasis on the emotional side of being cared for than others. Two one-hour visits per day covered all his needs from dressing and personal care to meal preparation and laundry. He quickly
got to know his carers personally and cannot speak highly enough about their support and assistance. The carers encouraged my dad with his physiotherapy exercises and regaining his independence in terms of washing, dressing and preparing his food. After a few weeks we dropped down to one visit per day and then later 3 visits per week. At all times there has been clear communication between the family and Right at Home so that all arrangements worked out smoothly. We won't hesitate to use this company again.

The staff at Right At Home have been great.
We made contact as Mum was deteriorating with dementia and in need of more help.
Following a detailed assessment and home visit, the team were able to rapidly get a package of care in place that felt both professional yet personalised. The lead time to start
the package was a matter of days and that helped take a weight off our minds.
Right At Home initially started visits twice daily but have increased to three times daily after gauging Mum's needs. The care provided has been comprehensive and compassionate.
The carers have worked wonders with Mum - managing personal care, nutritional needs and engaging in social activities, both at home and with trips out.
In addition to the care provided for Mum being great, the team have also provided practical assistance to us by helping get repairs done around the house which has been a godsend as we live a distance away.

She loves it when we paint her nails too! It was so nice that she did some drawing again with our caregivers and we hope that we can encourage her to do some more again soon. Right At Home have been very professional and supportive from day one providing support on a weekly basis to my elderly mother (92). Who is still very independent but needs a little bit of extra support. I have built a strong relationship with them as my mum‘s carer and they go the extra mile when you
need some help and advice.

The manager and her team provided great care at very short notice, supporting Mum in her home and helping her with all her basic hygiene needs, encouraging her to mobilise and regain her confidence after a recent spell in hospital.
Help was also provided with cleaning, household chores and shopping,
and encouraging mum to eat regular meals.
Helping mum, helped and supported us.

I contacted them to help support my husband who was struggling with serious mobility issues at home. Care was offered three times a week to support his needs. The carer and manager had visited to complete an assessment and provide a comprehensive care package. They have been brilliant and supported
both of us through a very difficult time. I would highly recommend this company without hesitation to anyone seeking help and support at home.

The service from Right at Home has always been excellent. The response to me requesting a service/support for my wife was both quick and empathetic. The introduction of staff to my wife was very gentle and she has taken very quickly to the staff supporting her. I have witnessed how gentle and client-focused
they have been, always treating my wife with the respect and dignity she required and overall it has been an excellent service.

I have been most encouraged by all the care received, not bodily so much as verbal encouragement and mainly housework and helping me walk etc. As I live alone and because my memory is so unreliable I have been able to talk over some everyday problems and each carer has been very understanding and most

Rachel Critchley

Job Title: Managing Director and Owner

Having lived in North Leeds for around 20 years, I know the area like the back of my hand!


Since the age of 31, I have owned, set up and successfully managed businesses - this is one of my many passions!


One of my other passions is helping people, particularly the most vulnerable. I am an active volunteer for many groups in the local community of Guiseley, Rawdon and Horsforth. When I haven’t got my sleeves rolled up, dancing, playing bingo or making teas I’m involved in their committees or steering groups. If you know of AVSED, Guiseley Senior Citizens, Guiseley Memories or Dementia Friendly Horsforth then you will recognise me, I’m sure.


In my spare time (which is very little) I enjoy walking my Yorkshire whippet – Alfie or playing with my two young children Ella and Jack. Who are the cutest and funniest, particularly together – however, I may be just a tiny bit biased! In the past I’ve enjoyed travelling the world, jumping out of planes and when I can, I still enjoy camping. I love to try new things, meet new people, and turn my hand to property renovation and entertaining when I get the chance.


I’m thankful for Right at Home North Leeds, Otley and Wetherby which has given me the opportunity to turn my passion into a job - which I absolutely love. Each day I go to work, I get to make a real positive difference to Clients, their families, our CareGivers and a wonderful team - who I am blessed to have. It is important that my team feel appreciated, valued, confident and happy so that they can be their very best and be proud of the quality of service that they provide to others.


My personal values are trust, equality and compassion. I recognise the importance of valuing others…..which means this is the perfect role for me!

Hi, my name is Anna and I am the Registered Manager for Leeds North, Otley and Wetherby.


I live locally in Yeadon, where I have lived for many years and it is here that my heart truly belongs.


I began my care journey as an unpaid carer for my Grandma who lived with Alzheimer’s. I cared for her for many years which was a privilege and immensely rewarding, although hard at times. After she sadly passed away, my Grandad eventually went into a care home.


The staff were lovely but I know that he would have preferred to be at home, with the memory of my Grandma and his familiar possessions around him.


This led me to begin looking into care roles and so I took my first job in the care sector with a domiciliary care company based in Horsforth, as a carer. I knew that I would love working in care but had no idea I would love it so much. After a short while, I was promoted to Care Co-ordinator and then Registered Manager.


I am passionate about giving back to the local community and when time permits I enjoy volunteering with the over 65’s in Horsforth and Guiseley too.


I am now the Registered Manager for Right at Home Leeds North, Otley and Wetherby and am based at the Horsforth office.


From the moment I joined, I have not looked back and am excited about what the future holds!
