Your mum is a joy to spend time with, and we love making each visit meaningful-whether through art, reminiscing, or making dream catchers. She has particularly enjoyed trips to a lake in the area, nature reserve, garden centre and art centre, always with time for coffee, cake, or ice cream while chatting about life. Our visit to the art centre was especially memorable, and while memories may fade, we leave little notes or sunflowers as familiar reminders. The most touching part is that she always gives us a kiss on the cheek-a beautiful sign that the warmth and connection remain. We understand that value for money is important, which is why our hour-long visits provide the best experience allowing time for meaningful engagement, familiarity and continuity of care. We are so pleased that we have been able to support her and delighted that she has also been able to gain a little weight over the last few months from the nutritious meals we have prepared for her. We have enjoyed listening to her singing along to her much-loved music. She particularly enjoyed us taking her to the Cookridge scarecrow festival the other week. She loves it when we paint her nails too! It was so nice that she did some drawing again with our caregivers and we hope that we can encourage her to do some more again soon. Having lived in North Leeds for around 20 years, I know the area like the back of my hand!
Since the age of 31, I have owned, set up and successfully managed businesses - this is one of my many passions!
One of my other passions is helping people, particularly the most vulnerable. I am an active volunteer for many groups in the local community of Guiseley, Rawdon and Horsforth. When I haven’t got my sleeves rolled up, dancing, playing bingo or making teas I’m involved in their committees or steering groups. If you know of AVSED, Guiseley Senior Citizens, Guiseley Memories or Dementia Friendly Horsforth then you will recognise me, I’m sure.
In my spare time (which is very little) I enjoy walking my Yorkshire whippet – Alfie or playing with my two young children Ella and Jack. Who are the cutest and funniest, particularly together – however, I may be just a tiny bit biased! In the past I’ve enjoyed travelling the world, jumping out of planes and when I can, I still enjoy camping. I love to try new things, meet new people, and turn my hand to property renovation and entertaining when I get the chance.
I’m thankful for Right at Home North Leeds, Otley and Wetherby which has given me the opportunity to turn my passion into a job - which I absolutely love. Each day I go to work, I get to make a real positive difference to Clients, their families, our CareGivers and a wonderful team - who I am blessed to have. It is important that my team feel appreciated, valued, confident and happy so that they can be their very best and be proud of the quality of service that they provide to others.
My personal values are trust, equality and compassion. I recognise the importance of valuing others…..which means this is the perfect role for me!

Hi, my name is Anna and I am the Registered Manager for Leeds North, Otley and Wetherby.
I live locally in Yeadon, where I have lived for many years and it is here that my heart truly belongs.
I began my care journey as an unpaid carer for my Grandma who lived with Alzheimer’s. I cared for her for many years which was a privilege and immensely rewarding, although hard at times. After she sadly passed away, my Grandad eventually went into a care home.
The staff were lovely but I know that he would have preferred to be at home, with the memory of my Grandma and his familiar possessions around him.
This led me to begin looking into care roles and so I took my first job in the care sector with a domiciliary care company based in Horsforth, as a carer. I knew that I would love working in care but had no idea I would love it so much. After a short while, I was promoted to Care Co-ordinator and then Registered Manager.
I am passionate about giving back to the local community and when time permits I enjoy volunteering with the over 65’s in Horsforth and Guiseley too.
I am now the Registered Manager for Right at Home Leeds North, Otley and Wetherby and am based at the Horsforth office.
From the moment I joined, I have not looked back and am excited about what the future holds!
