Kingsley provide respite care for my husband. I have found them to be professional, kind and reliable. I can leave my home without any concerns for my husband's welfare and safety.
Their charges are competative for the area.

Kingsley Home Care has been providing excellent care for my aunt. My aunt receives her visits at the same time and the staff are always prompt. The staff has been very accommodating when I have asked for extra help, for example, extra visits or taking my aunt to an appointment. Nothing is too much trouble.
I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring any home care.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?
I have worked in the care industry for 5 years and was in a home care setting. I was told about Kingsley by Karen Smith and along with doing some research, I saw that Kingsley looked like a very good company to work for.

When did you join Kingsley?

May 2013

How long have you been in the care industry, and what led you to join Kingsley HomeCare?

I started my care journey 42 years ago. Trained as an EN(M) qualifying at the age of 20 and I was one of the youngest enrolled nurses working in an acute psychiatric hospital. I specialised and worked with advanced dementia before moving into the addiction unit. I then went on to complete my conversion course and qualified as an RGN specialising in the bleed unit. I then burnt out with the NHS and moved into Social care working as a deputy manager and then a home’s manager in a nursing home 25 years ago. I have worked with charities, social housing and finally Kingsley Healthcare. Started as a registered manager at Colne House before progressing to a Peripatetic Manager supporting homes without a manager and ensuring they were CQC-ready. Moved on to Operations manager before being offered the Regional Operations Director in 2019.

A short break from work in early 2024 before returning to the current role.

What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?

Supporting people to live as independently as they can in their own homes. When this is no longer possible being able to support and offer live-in care or moving into one of our homes

What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?

My vision is to see Kingsley Homecare grow in not only the three areas that we currently cover but nationwide. I want us to be the provider of choice.

What are your hobbies and passions outside of Kingsley?

I enjoy good food and wine, visiting the gym, walking my dog along the beautiful Lowestoft coastline, upcycling old furniture and knitting in front of my fire on the cold winter nights.

What do you find most rewarding about working in-home care?

I'm really proud of the exceptional level of care our carers give - it fills me with immense pride.

What is your vision for the future of this branch and the services it provides?
