Symbol Family Support Services LTD is an independent, family owned company, who have just celebrated 25 years in the care sector.

Symbol are committed to providing a high level of bespoke care and support for anyone who needs support to live and thrive as independently as possible in their own homes and local communities. They have significant experience and expertise in supporting both older people and people with learning disabilities to live their best lives.

Symbol can support you in your own home with those things that have become tricky – this support can be pretty much anything that you need from routine activities such as shopping, getting to appointments (GP, dentist, hairdresser etc.), cooking, bathing/showering, cleaning and other ad hoc household tasks like sorting out bills.

Symbol can provide interim support where your family or other carers are away – You may for example have a family member who lives with you, or nearby, who wishes to go on holiday, take a break or needs to fulfil other commitments. Symbol can step in to provide that extra help and peace of mind for all involved.

Returning home from hospital – to bridge the gap following an illness, accident or operation you may need that extra bit of help to do some things around your home, manage your health and/or personal needs and keep you safe while you get back on your feet. You might want somebody to stay over at night or to pop in daily or anything in between.

They offer fantastic quality of care and are so reliable. It is hard living so far away from mum but they look after her every need and I cannot speak more highly of them and would recommend straight away.

Symbol looked after my partner with compassion, professionalism and endless patience. Their carers are second to none. I was close to breaking point with my partner with dementia, they supplied the support I needed very quickly. Their carers not only took care of her they also listened to me and supported
me emotionally. I am eternally grateful for their help. The company is run efficiently by lovely ladies who understand the meaning of care. I would recommend them with no hesitation.

I started using Symbol family support services for my elderly mother who has Alzheimer's vascular dementia in January 2025. There services have enabled my mother to continue to live in her own home and it really has become life changing for her and my family. They have been professional and really educated
/ advised me on care in home and having tried other care suppliers, Symbol are a cut above the rest. They are always on time, flexible and work with mum in many ways to assist her. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering using home care for a family member.

I highly recommend using Symbol Care for anyone who needs extra support at home. My father developed dementia 4 years ago and his care needs progressed over that time that I could not meet them on my own, so I engaged Symbol's help and they talked me through every step of the way and at each review
we discussed his increasing care needs. Even when short staffed, they never left dad without care. Their consistency with staff is good and with dad's dementia that was a bonus because he wasn't scared of strange people coming into the house each day. He built up a great rapport with his carers and they would often share a joke and giggle.
Unfortunately dad has now passed and we no longer need the services of Symbol Care, but whomever has their time and attention now are the lucky ones. Thank you, I couldn't have looked after him without you. x
