Live-In Care Worker

As a Live-In Care Worker, you will give clients the help they need to live independently in their own homes by assisting with all areas of personal and domestic care. As a Live-In Care Worker, you will stay with the client in their home for a period of time and provide help with their daily needs which could be housework, personal care, shopping or even provide a bit of company.

Home Care Worker

Supporting individuals to live as independently as possible, usually in their own home or in the community. Duties may include helping individuals to get to work, college or university, helping with personal care such as showering and dressing, support with tasks around the house such as shopping, cleaning and cooking and monitoring their health.

Team Leader or Senior Care Worker

This role is predominantly field based acting as a first point of call for staff and Service Users. Duties include supervising and managing Care Workers, supporting clients with their daily activities, completing risk assessments and Care Plans for new clients and holding regular reviews with Clients and their relatives, Social Workers or other Health Professionals involved.

Care Coordinator

This role is office based and primarily a customer support role, working closely with the Care Management and Supervisors. Responsibilities include the coordination of a scheduling service for clients, organising rotas and making sure that Care Workers and clients are aware of that schedule. Duties may also include taking responsibility for the recruitment of Care Workers.

Manager

Managers are responsible for over-seeing the day-to-day operation, including managing staff and ensuring clients are supported and their needs are met. Duties also include adhering to legislation, process and policies and ensuring that the correct systems are in place to monitor quality and performance. Managers will work with CQC (the Care Quality Commission) to keep standards high.

Various Nurse roles

Home care Nurses provide in-home health services for patients and their families. Working under the supervision of a physician, they coordinate and manage patients’ at-home care plan. Duties can include assessing the patient’s condition, taking vital signs, manage and administer prescription medicines, check bedridden patients for bed sores and muscle weakness, write reports to the patient’s physician and update family caregivers on the patient’s condition.

This is a Nurse qualified role and you will either need to be registered with the NMC or in some roles, working towards this.
