Care Assistant - Evenings/Weekends

Based in Stamford (and surrounding areas) Bluebird Care is looking for Key Workers.

We have part time WEEKEND & EVENING caring opportunities in Stamford and surrounding areas -  but you do need to have your own transport and valid driving licence as you will be visiting people in their own homes.

No experience is necessary, at Bluebird Care we look for people with a positive, patient and passionate personality. We can provide you with all the training and support you’ll need to pair with your personality to become a fantastic Care Assistant.

No two days are ever the same when you’re a Care assistant, but duties do include:

·       Providing personal care for the customer which involves washing, bathing, and cleaning them while making sure dignity and privacy is at the heart of the care.

·       Helping with everyday activities such as meal preparation while making sure that the customer is given independence and choice.

·       Maintaining a level of friendliness and positivity during the visits you are providing at the customer’s home.

·       You will administer medication to the customer and make sure care notes are keep up to date during the visit.

Whilst we’re not looking for experience, we are looking for:

• ·       A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
• ·       Someone who is prepared to acquire Class 1 Business Insurance
• ·       A full right to work in the UK – We are unable to provide sponsorship!
• ·       Someone who is caring, kind and empathetic.
• ·       A great listener
• ·       A sense of respect and compassion for others.

What we can offer you:

• Part Time Hours Available - Weekend hours from 7am and up to 10pm.   Evening hours from 4pm/5- to 10pm.
• Between £10.65/hour and £16.00/hour   (weekday)  from £11.00 per hour (starting) weekends  
• A competitive starting salary and hourly rate - including PAID travel time with GUARANTEED HOUR contracts available.
• Up to 40p business paid mileage - regularly reviewed to check any changes to petrol prices in real time
• Consistent Rotas and Hours (planned in advance) with continuity of care
• Incremental holidays starting at 28 days pro rata including bank holidays.
• 4-day training in our office & online learning modules paired with a 12-week mentor scheme and then ongoing support with CARE CERTIFICATE completion and achievement
