We are looking for local people interested in providing care and support to people living in Didcot and the surrounding area. Experience is an advantage but not necessary as full training is given to suitable applicants on receipt of an Enhanced DBS check or suitable references. All staff are offered the Care certificate alongside basic training, leading to skills necessary for the job role, this may include dementia, manual handling, first aid, food preparation and safeguarding. Later staff may train in portable skills including administration of medications, pressure care and compression wear
Unfortunatley we do not offer sponsorship and require staff to be already living in the area, we try to give our staff a full days work instead of too much travelling.
A carers day is always different, providing not only personal care, medication and meal support but often social time and domestic help. We offer flexible shifts between the hours of 7am - 10pm every day. Although weekend work is always available with higher rates of pay. It is important to be reliable, compassionate and friendly. Own transport is also an advantage for taking people shopping, to appointments or just for days out.
We are happy to consider staff with part time hours around other commitements as long as they prove to be willing and caring. full availabilty will include some weekend working.
