* Currently recruiting for a Field Care Supervisor/Support to join our growing team at our Dacorum & St Albans *

** You must be able to drive and have use of your own vehicle**

* You will be on-call on a Rota Basis (1 week in 3 or as directed by the branch); You will be expected to cover care calls in office hours and outside of office hours in emergencies*

Caremark is an established and highly regarded home care provider offering home care, personal support, home help, and companionship services.

Field Care Supervisors spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field with the remaining 5% being spent in the office in order to complete the necessary administrative duties. Field Care Supervisors are responsible for implementing field-based quality control systems and the efficient running of their own specific, defined areas and should vary their hours of work in order to effectively monitor and support all Care & Support Workers and clients.

Principal responsibilities

· To carry out Individual Needs Assessments for new and potential clients.

· To conduct risk assessments as part of the Individual Needs Assessment and update these as required as part of the individual’s risk management.

· To carry out introductory visits every time a Care & Support Worker visits a client for the first time.

· To hold the on-call phone on a rota basis; this will include evenings and weekends.

· To facilitate the practical induction of all new Care & Support Workers.

· To conduct client reviews and respond to Individual Review Forms completed by Care & Support Workers as soon as possible.

· To urgently report any changes in a Care & Support Worker’s or client’s schedule to the Care Coordinator.

· To monitor all clients for service and Care & Support Worker satisfaction.

· To ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in clients’ homes.

· To support, monitor, supervise and mentor all Care & Support Workers in the field. Encourage and identify opportunities for continuing professional development.

· To ensure that all written reports and administration are up to date.

· To maintain close liaison with both the Care Manager and Care Coordinator.

Hours

· Core working hours; 08:00 am – 17:00 pm Monday to Friday

· On-call; this includes the evenings and weekends.

· Flexible outside of hours to cover calls as and when needed (Paid as overtime)

Candidate Requirements

· At least 1-year of experience working for a Domiciliary/ home care Agency. (preferred)

· Ideally NVQ/QCF level 2 / 3 in Health & Social Care, if not willing to work towards this

· Must be good at problem-solving and like a challenge

· Must be Organised, methodical, and have a good eye for detail.

· Must be flexible around working schedules, roles, and responsibilities.

· Being a team player and a people person is extremely crucial to this role.

· Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
