We are currently seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager for our multiple building Ofsted-registered home based in Gravesend. The home provides care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Our Children’s Homes have been adapted to create a warm and welcoming environment which children can call home. We have built up an outstanding reputation with nearly 10 years combined experience in the semi-independent supported living sector via, this also enables us to offer a seamless transition into supportive living accommodation, allowing young people to maintain established relationships with a consistent care approach into adulthood.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring that the children receive the highest quality of care. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising staff to ensure that they meet the needs of the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that the home is compliant with Ofsted regulations and quality statements and that all inspections are passed with a rating of "Good" or above.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff members and promote a positive and nurturing environment for the children in our care.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members to ensure that they meet the needs of the children in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as social workers and healthcare professionals, to ensure that the children receive the best possible care.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively, and ensuring that the home operates in a financially sustainable manner.
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are followed, and that the welfare of the children in our care is paramount at all times.
  • Develop and implement care plans for each child in the home.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within a children's home setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation
  • regulations and guidance relating to residential childcare.
  • Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent communication
