We are looking for kind, loving and caring people just like you to join our team helping and supporting our vulnerable service users in their own homes, full time hours, evenings and weekends available.

This is more than just a job, you will be helping elderly and vulnerable people to remain in their own homes whilst receiving the assistance they need to maintain a quality of life in these unprecedented times

Your visits are not just about the practical help that you will be providing, you are also there to support our service users' emotional needs - they may live alone and be somewhat isolated from society. 

Which is why the relationship that a service user has with their carers is a very special one – kindness, love, care and a smile from a carer can make our service users day!

Visits are 7 days a week, 365(6) days a year - sometimes more than once in a day on a rota – at varying times of the day, depending on what they need help with and will include:

• Personal Care (bathing/showing/toileting/etc)

• Preparing and serving meals/snacks

• Taking and managing their medication

• Light domestic duties

Are you new to care? - No problem!

Full induction training is provided followed by shadow shifts with an experienced carer. We are an Approved Training Centre with Registered trainers for social care mandatory and statutory training...

Ongoing training updates are available throughout your time with us. We will even support you to do your NVQ qualifications should you choose to stay with us long term.

 Working Relationships 

  • To work together with Jessamy Staffing care management and other carers in maintaining standards in accordance with the philosophy of care 
  • To identify and discuss care needs and outcomes of clients with the Care Managers 
  • To cover the absence of colleagues during periods of annual leave and sickness 
  • To report developments, significant incidents or noticeable changes in health, behaviour or circumstances of the clients to the Care Manager
  • To participate in reviews as required and to record services provided on the clients’ records when requested 
  • To attend and participate in staff meetings as required 
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times 
  • To report any breaches of confidentiality to the Care Manager in line with current policy 
  • To attend and participate in forum meetings every two months 
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times 

Health and Safety 

  • To carry out duties in line with safe working practices ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards e.g. safe manual handling practices 
  • To use all equipment provided safely when providing care e.g. hoists and other manual handling aids as dictated in the client’s individual risk assessment 
  • To use protective clothing and gloves 
  • To attend any training deemed appropriate for the role

Paperwork 

  • Ensure that all client paperwork is completed in line with requirements 
  • To ensure that all client sheets and timesheets are returned to the office by the required day and time 
  • To complete holiday requests giving appropriate notice to the office 
  • To complete sickness forms and return to the office 

Personal Development 

  • To identify personal training and development needs and to participate in the Jessamy Staffing staff personal development programme 
  • To maintain a staff folder with policies and procedures and to be familiar with them Confidentiality 
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients, colleagues and Jessamy Platinum Homecare at all times.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a Full drivers licence with access to a vehicle for work
  • All suitable candidates are required to undergo an ENHANCED level DBS Check.
