It is important that you have at least 6 months of professional care experience; as a care assistant, live in carer or support worker we are looking for a caring, understanding, calm & compassionate person who will have the ability to become a friend and companion to the service user
The package will be supporting a lady based in St Albans who has cerebral palsy, helping with preparing specific foods, outings and supporting when meeting new people
The role of a live-in care assistant is a varied one. Duties include:
- Providing companionship within the service users' own homes.
- Supporting and assisting with personal care.
- Preparing meals and associated domestic tasks.
- Prompting and administering medication
- Supporting your service user with their hobbies and social interests.
- Accompanying your service user to appointments, social events and recreational outings.
