Have you a few hours to spare during the week and able to work alternative weekends? Could you make a difference to venerable adults living within their own homes. Are you a caring and compassionate person? If you are looking for a change in career/maybe looking at going back into work now that the children have gone back to school or you are retired and want a little part-time job.

Hours of work are:

6.30am - 2.30pm

3pm - 10.30pm

(However if you have a particular time in mind that you can work during the week and have full flexibility of a weekend or can commit to one day of the weekend every week and couple of days during the week that is completely fine too)

We are recruiting in the following areas Wigan, Leigh Standish & Ashton and surrounding areas

No qualification required as this is a job were training is given and you will be supported along the way gaining qualifications in Health & Social Care level 2 and also the Care Certificate. We also offer short courses such as learning disabilities and Dementia

*For the position you must be a car driver and own your own car.*

Bridgewater Home Care
We are looking for caring and compassionate Care Specialist living in the Wigan and surrounding areas. You would be joining a homecare organisation who were established by a family who wanted to improve the standard of care provided to vulnerable older people in their local community.

per hour + paid travel time + mileage allowance
Part time and bank hours available. With flexible working hours to suit your needs and availability
Experience is not essential

Responsibilities of a Home Care Specialist
You will be matched to older adults in your local community and you will support them to remain independent both in their own home and by keeping them active in the local community. This would include

  • Assisting with daily routine including mornings, lunchtimes and evenings
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Prompting to take any medications
  • Taking them out shopping or attending local groups, events or appointments
  • Preparing meals and light household duties.
