We currently have exciting vacancies for caring individuals to join our team (experience not required) just a caring attitude and they want to support vulnerable people in the local community. Fully training and support will be offered to the successful candidates to whichever level is required, While working the hours to suit your working life balance, day or night, from 2 - 100 hours per week.
Whilst undertaking any tasks within your role, it is important to remember not to take away a person’s physical or personal independence and choice.
Health care assistant Role, Responsibilities, Behaviours & Values:
1. As a key health care assistant, you will participate in care planning, identify and help achieve individual outcomes for service users with focus on outcomes agreed.
2. You need strive to deliver a service beyond the basic expectations of the service user care plan to add value and distinction to the services that Carers Elite provide.
3. You need to monitor service user progress; outcomes achieved and provide feedback through recording systems and meetings with senior staff.
4. You need to alert your supervisor when you have concerns over the quality of care or where you feel the safety of the service user or staff is at risk.
5. You need to cooperate with training requirements throughout your employment in order to meet the needs of the service users, expectations and requirements of Carers Elite Ltd.
6. You must ensure that you positively promote Carers Elite Ltd throughout your employment with us.
7. As a Health care assistant your approach will show empathy towards service users and residents.
8. Outcomes should be realistic and achievable for the service user and as a health care assistant you should be their advocate to listen to their views, wishes and needs.
9. When providing care to service users and residents it is a priority that equality, honesty, trust, dignity, respect, safety and privacy is promoted at all times whilst ensuring that personal and professional boundaries are understood by the service user.
10. Ensure that the needs, wellbeing and safety of service users and residents are met and you act in the best interests of the service user at all times.
11. To participate in all communication and work in partnership with your supervisor and colleagues in order to facilitate the sharing of information, ideas and issues that influence or have an impact on the service user or resident.
12. You are encouraged to make suggestions that would have a positive impact on the service, encourage business growth and promote the service provided to service users and other customers.
13. To share feedback through supervisions, meetings and communication from service users with your supervisor/management in order to enable a constant review and improvement of the service provided by Carers Elite Ltd. You must take a proactive approach towards dealing with complaints and compliments and ensure all are reported in line with company policy.
During your employment, you will be expected to carry out a variety of different tasks, which will depend upon the needs of the service user or customer. Please see the expected following activities or tasks:
Personal Care
Washing/bathing service user’s body and hair, dressing, toileting, helping service user/resident to eat and drink, helping with personal care and appearance, prompting service user/resident to take their medication, meal preparation, emptying commode and changing of soiled bedding or clothing as required.
Domestic Care
Laundry, Cleanliness of house, generally making sure Service User is comfortable and warm
**Please note that some domestic tasks cannot be carried out due to health and safety regulations. You will be advised during your training of which tasks may constitute a risk.
Social Care & Support
Collection of pensions and prescriptions, shopping and engaging with the service users and showing interest through talking and listening
Health and Therapeutic Care
You may sometimes be asked to provide basic duties in these areas, but only with the guidance and supervision of an appropriate professional.
