Support worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. Your role will involve patient care, medication administration, case management, and behaviour management. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, dementia care, and home care.

DUTIES

- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities

- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation

- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules

- Monitor and document changes in clients' health status

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans

- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients

- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary

- Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with challenging behaviours

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

SKILLS

- Experience in patient care and assisted living settings

- Proficiency in medication administration and knowledge of medical terminology

- Ability to provide dementia care and manage challenging behaviours

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organisational and time management abilities

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules

MUST HOLD A UK VALID CLEAN DRIVING LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE
