Live-in Care Assistant Derbyshire - Female role

We have a great opportunity for Live-in Care Assistants to join our care team in Derbyshire.

We are looking for people to care in a professional way.  In this role you have the opportunity to provide bespoke care as you are living-in with the customer.

Immediate assignments available for the right people, following training, as we have new customer enquiries and some of our existing customers need live-in support now.

At Bluebird Care we are renowned for the high standards of care and support we provide to people living at home in Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley. We are known locally for our quality and true caring and we focus on being respectful, treating people with dignity and we encourage independence wherever possible.

This role involves living at our customer's home for usually 1 or 2 weeks at a time, a maximum of 3 weeks, with a week off*.  In this role you will provide daily support including meal preparation, companionship, medication assistance and usually an element of personal care. This will either be at one customer or split between 2 familiar customers on a regular basis.

*this is negotiated with each candidate.

• Assignments are typically up to 9 hour days working either alternate weeks or 2weeks at a time with a week off depending on the dependency level of the customer (working a maximum of 3 weeks)

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 12 months' experience in a care setting
• Have a caring and empathetic nature
• The ability to adapt to different situations
• A willingness to learn
• Use common sense and compassion whilst delivering care
• Be honest and reliable
• Ideally you will live within 20 miles radius of DE56 1AX
• Ideally you will be a driver

You must have experience working in a professional care setting, and age is no barrier if you are fit to support our customers and have the right experience. Preference will be given to those who live within 20 miles of our office but people from further afield will also be considered.  Ability to drive is preferred if you live more than 20 miles from DE56 1AX.

We will support you with regular hands-on supervisions so that you can be confident and safe in the support that you provide. From then on, we’ll offer you plenty of exciting on-going training opportunities to help you expand your skills and become the best carer you can be.
