Complex Care Assistant (Based in Nottingham)

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Complex Care Assistant to join our team in Nottingham. As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide dedicated care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those with tracheostomies.

Responsibilities:

• Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assisting with tracheostomy care and other complex needs
• Administering medication and monitoring health conditions
• Supporting individuals with mobility and transferring
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, if required
• Implementing and following individual care plans
• Monitoring and recording observations on the individual's condition
• Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and family members

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Complex Care Assistant or in a similar role
• Experience and training in caring for individuals with tracheostomies is preferred
• Excellent understanding of complex care needs and associated challenges
• Compassionate and empathetic nature towards individuals and their families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
