Care Assistant days and nights

As a Home Care Assistant in our esteemed domiliary care setting, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals within their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to support our clients in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life through assistance with daily activities and personal care tasks. Responsibilities:

1. Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, respecting each client's dignity and privacy.
2. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients at all times.
3. Support clients with medication management, including administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records.
4. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as necessary, taking into account dietary preferences and restrictions.
5. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and tidying to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
6. Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
7. Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and errands, providing transportation and assistance as required.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or changes in condition promptly.
9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, including daily care logs, incident reports, and medication records.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of home care.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a care-related role is preferred but not essential.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation.
