Care Assistant/Support Worker

We are looking for individuals who are experienced in supporting and caring for elderly people or persons with learning and physical disabilities. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

1. Supporting and caring for our clients daily and helping them to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

2. Providing a personal and unique service of care to our clients to enable them to lead an independent lifestyle as much as possible.

3. Providing care and support according to the agreed elements of care, in a manner that enables and empowers our clients at all times without jeopardising our clients’ dignity, privacy and independence as far as practical.

Tasks

1. Personal Care such as dressing and undressing; washing/bathing/showering/shaving/grooming; hair care; nail care (fingernails only); continence management; enabling mobility etc.

2. Health and Medical Care such as helping with rehabilitation programmes as prescribed by healthcare professionals; care of pressure sores (under appropriate nursing supervision); assisting the service user to take prescribed medication etc.

3. Dietary Care such as preparing snacks and meals; assisting with feeding; tidying dining area etc.

Candidate must have access to a car or own transport.

Candidates must provide an enhanced DBS certificate and satisfactory references.
