Immediate Start 

Thames Care is actively seeking experienced Care Assistants to join our team in Reading, Wokingham and the surrounding areas. We are offering a pay rate per shift rather than per hour for Experienced Care Assistants able to work Evening and Weekend shifts.

Benefits

· (4:00pm – 10:00pm)

· Bank Holidays paid at Time + Half

· Mileage paid additionally pence per mile (or company loan car available)

Job Description

We are offering the right candidates a full time contract with a minimum of five shifts per week with 28 days paid annual leave.

To provide personal, practical, social and emotional support to people in their own homes, in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. The support provided by Care Assistants does not include tasks that would normally be undertaken by a qualified nurse unless specific training has been provided.

The duties included contributing to the ongoing support of people who use our services and their informal carers. This will include personal care such as assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, the management of continence and rising and retiring.

Contribute to the movement and handling of people who use our services to maximise their physical abilities and mobility, enabling people who use our services to achieve and maintain physical comfort throughout the day.

Assisting in the preparation and making of meals, drinks and snacks enabling people who use our services to maintain a good level of nutrition and hydration.

Requirements

· Minimum of six months paid care experience within the last three years in the UK

· Full Driving License (we can loan you a company car if required)

· Clear spoken and written English

· Commitment to some weekend working

Skills / Qualifications:

  • 12 months experience in home care.
