We are looking for a caring, committed, flexible and reliable care and support worker to join our team here at Deal. If you are the right person for us you will want to provide the highest standard of care and support to our customers and keep them as independent as possible in the comfort of their own homes.
Our ethos governs all that we do and we want you to support it. 'We believe our customers are the most important people for our business, that our care and support workers are the most important people in our business; that a socially responsible business is most important for everyone.'
The majority of our customers are elderly and they may need help getting up in the morning, help with getting dressed and preparing a meal. You may need to prompt the customer with medication and provide personal care. We can now also provide care for children, so if that is a particular passion of yours please let us know.
Please do not worry if you have no experience as we provide a free induction programme at our Thanet office which will cover all the theory and practical knowledge to allow you to feel confident in providing the essential care and support for that person. You will even receive a First Aid Certificate. Once your induction and online training has been completed you will be able to go out into the field with an experienced carer to get a feel for the role.
As we provide care in people's homes you will need a mode of transport.
To provide the continuity of service to our customers we do ask all of our carers to be available from 7.00am-10.30pm every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and be able to commit to at least two evenings during the week and some early shifts also. Our earliest call starts at 7.00am and our latest call finishes at about 10.30pm.
If you are ambitious there are lots of training opportunities for you. Working in care is not just a job it is a career and a very rewarding and secure one.
