Care Assistant

My Homecare Hertfordshire currently has several full and part-time vacancies due to growth and expansion. As a Care Assistant, you will be a lifeline to many elderly and disabled people who are keen to continue living independently within their own homes with the support of a Care Assistant.

The role:

· You will carry out personal care for your clients which includes assistance with dressing, showering/bathing, assisting to the toilet or commode

· Changing and emptying catheter bags and attaching night bags

· Ensuring that medications are prompted & taken to ensure the client is taking medications as and when required

· Some light domestic duties such as washing plates and cups, hoovering around

· Preparing meals

· Ensuring overall wellbeing on a daily basis

· Assisting with putting clients to bed

· Using lifting and moving equipment such as hoists and slide sheets

· Providing companionship and befriending

· Community Access

The person:

· You will have an empathetic and understanding personality and be someone who thrives in a busy and caring environment

· You will have transport that you can use for work and a driving license

· Experience in care is not required as full training can be provided

· The ability to meet timeframes and work to deadlines is essential
