Right at Home GF opened its doors in June 2012 and Alastair Shanks continues to run the business, now providing employment to over 100 local people and enabling over 160 mainly elderly clients to continue to live in their own homes.

Together, Alastair and all the team work tirelessly to ensure that the care offered by Right at Home is of the highest standard and that the people to whom they provide care services are able to live their lives to the full.

Care Certificate and/or Diploma 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable, but experience is not essential as we provide full Care Certificate Training. We also offer opportunities for you to develop your skills as a Quality Coach or Area Care Manager if desired!

Here is just some of the feedback we have received from some of our wonderful carers -

“I didn’t really know what was involved so I was a bit nervous. But the training was very clear and thorough; it wasn’t rushed. Sara [Registered Manager and trainer] is very good. She has a wonderful way of getting things across.” Emma R, CareGiver

“The minimum one-hour calls give me a chance to really get to know those I support and provide excellent care.” Kerenza F, CareGiver

“It feels like visiting friends and it’s so rewarding. Sometimes I wonder if I get more out of it than the clients!”. Michelle R, CareGiver

Due to the fact that you will be working in the community, you will need to be a driver with the use of a car for this role.
