As a Home Instead St Albans Carer you will need to be caring, compassionate and reliable. You don't need any experience as we provide training however, experience of working with or interacting with older people will also be beneficial.

Supporting clients in St Albans - Radlett - Harpenden - Leavesden Green & surrounding areas
 

Our approach to care is very unique with our focus being on the carer and client relationships and we support this with minimum  1 hour visits (so no rushing!) - full introductions to new clients - visiting regular clients at regular times building rapport and routine.

Carer Responsibilities:

  • Providing day to day support to our clients, ensuring they remain independent within their own homes
  • Deliver quality companionship based care and support to every client
  • Ensure the environment in which our clients live is safe and clean
  • You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others

We support your career development and sponsor our Carers through QCF level 2  Training. Our mentor team will also guide and support all new employees throughout their career with us.

What we're looking for:

  • A real “people person” Naturally empathetic with a desire to make a positive difference to the lives of your clients
  • To be a Support Worker /Carer we need to be happy that you'd be suitable to care for our own parents. It's called the 'Mum Test'
  • You will need your own car for work use due to the nature of the role
