1.
Main role
- To provide Care in accordance with current best practice,
according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative
requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
- To provide support to family, friends and other healthcare
professionals to promote collaborative working.
- To support Management in the effective delivery of excellent
quality of care
- To be kind, understanding, compassionate and caring at all times

Main Duties
Care Services
- Address as a first point of call any complaints and where
necessary to escalate to Management.
- Assist clients with personal care as required
- Assist in the assessment of care records when required
- Be flexible and open to change in the delivery of care
- Develop effective communication and relationships with clients and
other family support networks
- Encourage clients where possible to promote independence and
explore new grounds eg hobbies
- Ensure that clients rights are protected at all times
- Identify and Report incidents as soon as they happen eg abuse
- Maintain confidentiality of clients and staff at all times
- Prompt medication as required
- Record relevant activities in the required logs accurately and
factually eg Visit Logs, Incident logs
- Support a work atmosphere which promotes a high quality of work life
- Support and maintain a culture of performance and excellence
- Support clients to maintain their independence, integrity and
dignity at all times
- To carry out impromptu or adhoc duties as directed by Registered Manager
- Work collaboratively with Management and Team Leaders to promote
Best Practice
- Work in accordance to guidance as set in the organisational Health
and Safety Policy
- Work with other carers to share Best Practice

Working within the organisation
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of Care policies and procedures
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees
within Medical Partnerships
- Encourage health promotion strategies
- Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of care
- Familiarise yourself with the organisational policies
- Minimise legal risks
- Participate in the development of Medical Partnership’s policies
- Participate in the evaluation of goals against agreed
organisational goals, business and quality objectives
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
- Support an open positive and inclusive working culture
- Support the effective resolution of team conflicts
- Systematically solve day to day problematical issues which arise
- Work in a cost effective manner by minimising waste
- Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships
4.
Expectations
- Attend reflective meetings as scheduled
- Be involved in Service Improvement programmes
- Ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times
- Familiarise yourself with the Staff Handbook located on BrightHR
- Join in social functions where feasible
- Timesheets must be submitted by Monday at the latest
- To attend and or complete schedule training sessions which
includes mandatory and non-mandatory courses.
- To attend Team Meetings
