Live-in carers wanted!
Walfinch is looking for enthusiastic,
hard-working live-in carers who have a passion for looking after the
elderly, with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to join it’s Oxfordshire
branch, where they will be able to make a real difference to the lives
of the people that require our care. We value all our staff. We also
pride ourselves on listening so if you have any concerns, our
management team take the time to listen and give you the support you
need.

we are providing the highest quality of care!
Walfinch has over
600 care staff and clients nationwide, with in house trainers that
provide excellent quality carer training. We have over 80% carer
retention due to the fantastic support we offer.
Our carers need
to be willing to travel across the UK, work for a minimum of two weeks
at a time. No experience is necessary due to our excellent quality
training which all Walfinch carers are required to attend.
Role Requirements:
- To provide quality live in care for people in their own homes
- Minimum 1-year experience is required (Choose experience or choose
no experience below)
- No experience required as full training with be given
- Passion for making a difference to individuals in their own homes.
- You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to
build relationships with those we support and those around them.
- Ability to be patient and keep calm under pressure.
- A caring nature and passion to make a real difference to someone’s life
- Flexibility, reliability, hard work and honesty
What you can expect
Live-in carers live with a client for the duration of their chosen
rota pattern (e.g 2, 4 or 6 weeks). You’ll look after one person or at
times a couple, providing both care and companionship. Following a
person-centred care plan you will tailor your support to
meet
your clients’ needs, assisting with daily activities, personal care,
or support in managing conditions such as dementia.
- You’ll be matched with a client based on your skills and your
client’s needs, providing tailored support and companionship
- Following a client’s individual care plan, you will generally
provide a daily average of 10 hours care provision to your client

- Your own comfortable private space when working on placement, plus
the cost of all meals covered
We’re always on the lookout for:
- Professional care experience gained in any care setting, such as
live-in carer, domiciliary carer, care assistant, support worker,
healthcare assistant in the NHS or similar. OR recent experience of
providing personal care for an adult friend or family member
including washing, bathing, and toileting
- A driver’s licence is an advantage but not a requirement. The
client provides the car and the insurance, for you to be able to
take your client for the occasional trip out or to go shopping
- You must be flexible to travel to your client placement (UK travel
expenses covered)

- After successful completion on probation option to enrol on
Qualifications in Health & Safety Care (Level 2,3 & 5)
Role Responsibilities:
- Helping your client get washed and dressed in the morning
- Personal care: Assist with personal hygiene, washing assistance
with using the toilet, assistance with incontinence inc. pads,
commodes, and catheter bags
- Support with eating and drinking: Ensuring that clients are
encouraged to eat a healthy, balanced diet and the correct
quantities, prepared meals look appetising and make sure the way
they eat is appropriate for the client

- Assisting with shopping: This is completed on the client’s request
and a finance form must be completed with a receipt
- Assist with mobility: Use of a hoist or other aides, or assistance
in standing and movement. Dressing or assisting with any physical
activity whereby the client’s needs support
- Companionship care
- Building relationships with service users, their families, and friends
- Food preparation
- Assisting clients with washing and dressing
- Housekeeping/domestic duties
- Support with medication
- Taking clients for appointments or outings.
- Light household chores
- Shopping or ordering food deliveries
- Assist with medication
- Laundry
- Engage with service users’ pastimes and hobbies
- Record keeping: MAR chart (for medication), Updating
notes/recording tasks on our software app
- Some of your duties as part being a Walfinch carer will include
being responsible for inducting in our new care team members along
with settling in new Customers, reviews and care delivery.
