Starlight Healthcare is a trusted provider of care in clients’ homes, with individual care planning and clients’ welfare being the centre of our culture. We are seeking a dynamic experienced Care Supervisor to join our team based in Hampshire and manage our clients who have complex care needs.

What is a Care Supervisor?
The Care Supervisor will assist the Care Manager in developing and supervising the care assistant team to ensure that a high standard of care is delivered to all clients in the Hampshire area. You will also regularly review the care plan with the clients, to ensure a high standard and satisfaction is achieved. The care supervisor will need to be an extremely good customer relations person, presentable and assertive and good with communication skills.

You will need to be a driver and have use of your car.

What will your day as a Care Supervisor look like;

  • First point of clients contact; visiting potential clients to set up care package including risk assessments, writing care plans, and dealing with all the administration of the set up.
  • Introducing new staff and managing probation periods & feeding back information to Care Manager on the performance of all staff.
  • Do Quality checks and Client reviews, Monthly spot checks and supervisions of care staff.
  • Liaising closely with the coordinator, care manager, clients, care assistants and external health care professionals. Assisting in the implementation of any necessary care need changes to ensure a quality service is maintained
  • Weekly audits of clients medications, financial transactions and daily care records.
  • Taking on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis (one week day evening per week)

What are we looking for from our Care Supervisor?

· Have experience working alongside clients who have complex care needs such as, MND, Huntington’s, PEG Management and brain injury.

· A proactive attitude and a passion to deliver high-quality care

· Works well within a team environment

· High energy and eager to help us to develop this area

· Strong people management skills

· Good reporting skills both verbal and written

· Strong computer skills as all our care planning is done online

· Have a hands-on approach as you might have to help out with care calls in case of emergencies

· Be approachable, very communicative and presentable as you are the first point of contact with a potential clients

NVQ/QCF L3 or willing to work towards this qualification.

A competitive salary starting at £30,000 up to £31,200 per year (dependent upon experience and qualifications) for a full-time position: Monday to Friday (work hours from 09.00am – 17:00pm

You will get the chance to participate in the bonus performance scheme if you achieve your targets.

Holidays entitlement is 20 days plus bank holidays.
