We are a new and innovative care provider looking to enhance the
current live-in care space. We are seeking a small team of
compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our small team to
provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of
care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our
clients, whether they are seniors, children, or individuals with
specific health needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong
commitment to providing personalised care and will be skilled in
various caregiving tasks.
Duties
- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including
personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any
side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a
positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving
clients to appointments or social activities.
- Implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each
client, ensuring adherence to best practices in home care.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by
performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or other
cognitive impairments, employing techniques that promote comfort and understanding.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in senior care or
childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and medication administration
is highly desirable.
- A valid driver's licence is required for transporting clients.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with
clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
