Care Matters have opportunities for care assistants to join our homecare services throughout Darlington. Experience isn't necessary, as we will support you with all the training and development you need to grow as a homecare assistant.
The Role:
To carry out and undertake specific and general tasks which will provide good quality of health, welfare and well-being.
We are looking for individuals who thrive on supporting others whilst always maintaining health and client safety.
· Assisting individuals with personal care including washing, dressing, medication and meal preparation
· Assisting individuals with domestic care including shopping, laundry and financial management.
· A QCF/NVQ qualification in Health & Social care or a willingness to complete a qualification in Health & Social care.
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Honest and reliable
· Ability to work shifts (Including weekends, evenings and bank holidays on a rota basis)
· Full drivers licence is required & own vehicle - mileage paid
Responsibilities:
· Commit yourself to developing skills and knowledge as identified by you, your line manager and the people you support.
· You'll need to have empathy, a can-do approach and excellent communication skills to join us as a homecare assistant.
· To be person centred in all aspects of your role
