Job Title - Care Assistant 

Location - Redditch/Bromsgrove 

Hours - Your working week will normally be worked Monday-Sunday. The start time and finish times will be agreed by arrangement with your line manager. We are flexible with working patterns. 

  • As an employee of Handle with Care Ltd you will work to ensure that the day to day care activities delivered to service users are effective and efficient at all times. The post holder will be proud to represent and champion the organisation.
  • As the champion of high quality care you will deliver "hands on care" of the highest quality to service users in their own home. The post holder will ensure compliance to the company and CQC standards at all times. 
  • To provide a range of personal, emotional, social and practical care and support tasks as agreed with in care plans and support plans. To work towards ensuring that service users are able to live as independently, comfortably and securely as possible whilst promoting choice and control. 
  • Ensuring that service users receive a culturally and ethnically sensitive service. 
  • To ensure the health and wellbeing of the service users is paramount at all times and alert your line manager of any changes in the service users condition or circumstances. 
  • To implement each service users care plan and support plan and risk assessment to ensure that the identified outcomes are achieved. 
  • To undertake, as required, practical tasks which may include, bed making, duties of a domestic nature. assist with food preparation of meals and provide support to service users if required for food and fluid intake. 
  • Provide general support to the service user as part of a caring team, liaising with both families, advocates and external services as necessary. 
  • To attend training courses and work with in Handle With Care policies, procedures, handbook and code of conduct including the national minimum standards. 
  • To comply with all decisions and policies of the company and any relevant statutory requirement including equal opportunities legislation, Health and Safety At Work Act and Data Protection Act. 

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 or Care certificate.
