Shifts: Flexible

Days: Monday to Friday and Alternate weekends (Work one shift every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for healthcare assistants to assist in the direct care of all aspects of a client’s assessed needs

  • To complete any training which is given
  • To read the care plan to be aware of an individual’s needs. Care plans and visit details are reviewed on the app, so you can be safe in the knowledge that you are providing the best possible support. 
  • To write and complete reports
  • To provide emotional and social support
  • To uphold dignity, respect, independence, and confidentiality
  • To assist in personal care such as washing, dressing, personal hygiene, medication etc…
  • To assist in nutrition/hydration needs, such as preparing meals and drinks; assisting those unable to feed themselves; ensuring each client received the meals/ diets they have requested/ are suitable for their needs
  • To assist with mobility difficulties, including the appropriate use of equipment such as hoist and standing aids
  • Ensure Community Lifeline runs smoothly by clearly communicating and liaising with the appropriate office staff regarding your attendance, travelling, and responsibilities.

Pay:

  • Salary from £12.50 to £14.50 per hour inclusive of Discretionary Bonus
  • Paid holidays
  • You will be paid a separate rate on bank holidays.
  • TAX-exempt mileage allowance of 30p per mile
  • £200 Refer-A-Friend bonus payment scheme. (After they’ve been employed for 6-months)
  • We appreciate your work and we have implemented a retention scheme, for every hour worked with us for three years you will be paid an extra £2.00.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A full UK driving license with access to a car is essential
  • You don’t need to have previous experience in care work but a caring manner and commitment to helping people are very important
  • Training will be given for anyone new in industry (Health and Social Care Level 2)
  • We can offer fast-track induction training for those who have experience and are qualified (terms and conditions apply)

  • Work one shift every other weekend
