We provide care and support services across Kent & East Sussex areas and are looking for live-in care professionals based in these localities. You will provide assistance and support to individuals who require help with daily activities and aim to improve their quality of life by promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Personal Care: Assist customers with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
  • Medication Assistance: Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and ensure customers adhere to their medication regimens.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor customers' health conditions, vital signs, and symptoms, and report any changes to healthcare professionals or supervisors.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on customers' dietary needs and preferences. Assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for customers.
  • Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to customers by engaging in conversations, recreational activities, and social outings.
  • Transportation: Escort customers to appointments, errands, or recreational activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during travel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any significant incidents or changes in customers' conditions.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate care services with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support networks to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for customers.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Identify and address potential hazards in the environment to prevent accidents or injuries. Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.

What skills will you have?

  • Compassion, empathy, and patience in dealing with customers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to assist clients with mobility and perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, or standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid, infection control practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
