As a care assistant you will help to care for and support people in their own homes providing a range of domestic and personal care services. Bluebird Care provides the very highest standards of care at home to older people, people with a physical disability and people with learning difficulties. We are looking for caring, conscientious care assistants to support people living in their homes and promoting independence while working in a way that respects our customer’s dignity. Some calls may include taking customers out shopping or just out for a walk.
In this position you will be:
- Assisting with personal care needs
- Helping with mobility around the home
- Providing support at meal times
- Prompting customers to take their medication on time
We are focused on the self funding market and our customers have high expectations of the company and our care assistants which means in turn we demand the very best from our staff.
As a Care Assistant, what training will I receive?
We provide the very best training and support, including a 5 day initial training programme delivered by our own team of trainers, supplemented by shadowing with experienced care assistants until you are comfortable in the job. In addition, we are committed to your personal development and provide ongoing developmental training; for example in dementia care and end of life care.
