We are looking for a Deputy Care Manager based in Newbury to join us on our mission to build the most outstanding care company in our region and someone who will truly enjoy helping to grow and develop the business as a key member of our friendly team
Working to support the local manager in or Newbury office the role will help grow and develop the care operations and manage, motivate and inspire a team of staff and care professionals to deliver the very best care possible, making a real difference to people’s lives.

About you
The successful Candidate, leading by example, must be driven and possess real ambition: the challenge is to consistently provide the best quality of care in a homecare service whilst help grow the company significantly over the next 3-5 years in line with our growth plans. Candidates must display excellent communication skills and build close relationships with customers, care workers and office staff.
Duties and responsibilities
· Support the manager in the running of the day-to-day operations.
· Accountable to the manager of the territory and Registered Operations Manager
· Taking care enquiries and carry out initial consultations to take on new clients
· Writing detailed care plans and carrying out risk assessment
· Responsible for ongoing care plan reviews and the safe and legal delivery of care to our clients
· Implementing company policies and procedures.
· Organizing and participating in regular staff meetings.
· Ensuring full compliance throughout the business.
· Understand and work within and uphold CQC standards and regulations.
· Undertaking and monitoring of all appropriate assessments relating to new Clients.
· To undertake/facilitate reviews of customers’ needs/requirements in accordance with guidelines.
· Planning and carrying out supervisions and appraisals of our care professionals
· Support and manage the care team in the community
· Ensure care professional’s training is up to date working closely with our In House training manager
· Carry out MED competency and M&H competency
· Manage and take on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis.
· Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively e.g. covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent.
Experience & Qualifications
· Experience of the home care sector (domiciliary and Live In care)
· Strong knowledge of regulatory responsibilities
· NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, excel etc) & computer literate
· Excellent management skills
· Ability to manage own time & be proactive
· Excellent knowledge of health & safety
· Full driver’s license
