This is an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated CQC Registered Care Manager with a strong care background and a passion for high quality care to join our domiciliary care service in West Yorkshire. The role will initially be to cover maternity leave till May 2025 in our Bradford Branch and will lead to a permanent position in managing our second location in the Leeds area.
In this varied role, you will be involved in:
Ensuring that a safe, caring exceptional service is delivered to our clients.
Following up Local Authority and Private care enquiries seeking new care packages to ensure that the company budget and financial targets are met.
Ensuring and maintaining high levels of care, being responsive to complaints and feedback, act as the Safeguarding Lead for the Organisation and implement effective tools and systems in accordance with CQC Standards.
Ensuring CQC preparation and inspections are performed to the best standards.
Ensuring successful operation of quality control and auditing systems.
Continually reviewing and improving our policies and procedures to ensure a most effective and efficient service is delivered.
Completing pre-admission assessments, care and support planning, conducting risk assessments and Mental Capacity assessments where appropriate.
Recruiting and arranging training opportunities for all staff.
Managing all DBS Checks and Right to Work checks.
Effectively managing Care Coordinators, Care Assistants and Support Workers.
Ensuring the completion of staff appraisals and 1-2-1 supervision sessions.
Chairing team meetings and managers meetings.
Working along the care coordinators to manage the staffing rotas.
Checking and approving leave / timesheets to ensure that they are in line with the rota systems.
Promoting a positive culture in line with the company’s ethos and values.
Being flexible to meet the demands of the organisation including participating in an on-call rota.
Promoting growth of the branch in our local community using your own initiative and creative ideas.
Requirements
Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities), Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
Experience of managing or supervising a team in health and social care is essential
The candidate will either hold, or be working towards, an NVQ level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Leadership.
Flexibility as may be required to work in other locations within West Yorkshire to promote the organisation growth and expansion.

Salary £30,000 – £40,000 per year (dependent upon experience)

You will be required to visit service users in their own homes, therefore driving license and use of a vehicle is essential.
