Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Wetherby and North Leeds as a Live-In Carer. As a Live-In Carer, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help keep clients independent in their own home.

The role of a Live-In Carer is both rewarding and challenging, with great support from the Home Instead team, and the client’s family where necessary. As a Live-In Carer, you will be required to provide the highest quality care. You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering your client’s personalised care plan and health goals.
  • Managing the client’s medical condition, meals, hygiene and always ensure their safety
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with your client, their family, friends, and those supporting their health and wellbeing as well as being trustworthy and compassionate
  • Assistance with personal care, light housework, meal preparation and companionship.

Minimum placement requirement is 2 weeks’ or subject to client requirements

Personal Characteristics

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in care.
  • You need a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service.
  • You will be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful.
  • You will enjoy building professional relationships with clients and be comfortable spending time in the company of others.
  • Drivers are desirable, but not essential for this role.

Please note that our clients live across a wide geographical area, so you must be comfortable travelling between client placements (max. 20 miles).
