Domiciliary Carer

Full or Part-time Domiciliary Carer job vacancies in the Reading area - Caversham, Tilehurst and Earley.

No previous care experience needed as full induction, training and mentoring is given, but car drivers with a full UK licence are essential.

The working day is 07.00 - 22.00 7-days a week, broken up into four shifts with bespoke weekly rotas created to reflect our carers individual availability to work.

Rates of pay are £14.00p/h (Mon - Fri); £17.00p/h (weekend); £21.00 (Bank Holidays), along with a generous fuel reimbursement of 45p per mile.

We care for older adults with a wide variety of needs living in their own homes and your role will be to support each one to continue to live at home retaining their independence for as long as possible. Each client has a unique personality with individual requirements, so we will guide and support you through a rigorous induction programme until you feel confident and competent to work independently.

The role will include:

• Assisting with personal care

• Helping clients with domestic duties & meal preparation

• Supporting clients to take medication safely

... and while doing this, providing companionship and conversation to help prevent loneliness.
