Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.

Skills

• Experience in hospice care or home care is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Empathy and patience when dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration protocols.
• A valid driver's licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
