Home Instead Stevenage & North Herts are recruiting Care Professionals to provide care to our clients. We are looking for kind, supportive, reliable friendly individuals who want to make a difference to our client’s lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in North Herts as a Nightshift Care Professional. Are you kind? Compassionate? Have a big heart? and want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients? As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services in order to support clients living independently in their own homes. 

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications, as full training will be given.

As a Nightshift Care Professional, you would work between the hours of 7 pm – 9 am (10hr or 12hr shifts) this could be on a “Waking Nights” shift or a “Sleepover”, we believe highly in continuity with clients, visiting the same clients as much as possible to build up trust, learn their routines and create fantastic friendships,

Duties: 

  • Providing personal care including all hygiene requirements & prompting medication when required
  • Regular check in’s with your client through the night to ensure they are safe
  • Waking Nights require you to be awake for the entire shift
  • Be a companion to your client caring for their mental health & wellbeing 
  • Build a trusting, friendly relationship with all clients 
  • Updating our fantastic App on each visit so family members can see how their loved ones are getting on 

You are required to be over 18 and live in the North Hertfordshire area.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • If you have customer service
  • retail or hospitality experience you can transfer your skills to caring.
