We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to
join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in
providing high-quality care to individuals in both home care and care
home settings. This position requires excellent communication skills,
a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work
collaboratively with healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence
is essential for this role, as it involves travel to clients' homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal
hygiene, dressing, companionship and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs,
ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to provide
support and reassurance.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the
appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in
administrative tasks as required.
- Support clients with mobility and transport needs, including
driving them to appointments when necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach
to client care.
- Support with medication administration where required and
reporting any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in home
care or care homes, is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective
interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and
documentation is beneficial.
- A caring attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of
life for clients are essential traits for success in this role.
