Overview
Due to expansion we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a
vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals living in
their own home. This position requires strong communication skills,
the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the
well-being of our clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered appropriately.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English
- both verbal and written. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is required due to the nature of the role. Familiarity with home care practices is desirable. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
