A new company specialising in caring for adults in their own homes has opened its doors in Bath and hopes to create 40 new jobs in the area. Home Instead Senior Care, a national, award-winning care company, is operating out of the Office Village, Bath Business Park near to the Circle Hospital and will support clients across Bath and its surrounding areas. Recently appointed Care Manager, Jeanette Halpenny is responsible for caregiver recruitment as well as maintaining the high level of quality care that Home Instead is renowned for. Jeanette has a wealth of experience in the care sector. She is qualified in Health & Social Care, Counselling, Psychology and Health & Nutrition and has worked as a residential Social Worker and Care Manager for Older Peoples services. Jeanette is delighted to join the team at Home Instead as she believes that they share the same ethos and vision of how good care is delivered. She explains: “I am passionate about ensuring that people receive the care that they need and want, not just the care that they are told that they can have, which unfortunately is all too often the case. In my opinion too many care companies dictate what is on offer. Here at Home Instead it couldn’t be more different, we treat our clients as individuals and offer a service that is flexible and totally focused on the needs, wants and desires of the individuals and the families who come to us for support. Our role is to provide the professional support needed to enhance and improve our clients’ quality of life.”

The demand for Home Instead services is very high and for that reason Jeanette is looking to recruit up to 40 people to the team who can deliver care to people in their own homes. Jeanette continued: “We will consider people from a variety of backgrounds who have a caring and compassionate nature and want a rewarding career. The hours are totally flexible, ranging from a few hours per week to those looking for a full time. We offer full and extensive training so experience is not always necessary. Our caregivers support and encourage our clients, doing everything that they can to help them stay living independently in their own homes for longer. Being a Home Instead caregiver is a very rewarding career.” Home Instead Senior Care is truly changing the way care is delivered in the UK and this has been endorsed by the number of national awards it has received for the quality of care provided. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, medication reminders, local transportation and errands. The service is totally flexible and is available from as little as 1 hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
