The East Riding branch of national home care provider Caremark is looking to employ another 200 carers, having recognised the opportunity to expand its provision after a successful first eighteen months since it was launched.
The service carries out personalised care and support packages for older people, offers care-at-home solutions for people with a learning or physical disability, and also specialises in terminal illnesses, for which the provider is accredited by the local authority.
Commenting on the company’s recruitment drive, director Graham Precious said: ‘Positions are available for full- and part-time staff and most will be on established care runs. Previous experience is not essential as we provide full training. What is more important is that people have a caring nature. We are currently working with our local authority on an Intermediate Care pilot scheme, providing care and support services on a fast-track programme for people coming out of hospital.
‘All too often we hear about rural areas suffering from a lack of employment opportunities and we are very excited about being able to reverse that trend by providing well-paid jobs with excellent prospects for promotion.’
Caremark began its social care mission in Surrey, in 2005, and can now be found in most regions of the UK and Ireland. The company feels strongly that employees should have their career development supported by on-going training programmes and the chance to broaden skills and experience wherever possible.
