The MS Trust is holding a Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week to raise awareness of the condition.

A spokeswoman for the MS Trust said: "The week provides a great opportunity to help people across the UK understand what it means to have MS and to focus the debate on how to improve MS services. The more money we raise helps us to ensure we can continue to provide our services and help the 100,000 in the UK affected by MS."

The week which runs from 30 April to 6 May is packed with a whole range of fundraising and publicity events.

People with MS are being encouraged to nominate their MS nurse for the My Super Nurse award or send in their photos to show the things they do day to day while living with MS.

The charity is asking people to hold Bold in Blue awareness or fundraising events. Last year lots of people went blue in a variety of ways, some held blue quizzes or blue themed dinner parties, some dressed up in blue outfits and lots of people held cake stalls, with a blue theme.
