Police are appealing for help in finding a vulnerable, elderly woman with dementia who went missing this morning in Trowbridge in Wiltshire.

Lillian Hall has Alzheimer’s and recently her symptoms have worsened.

She was last seen by her carers at her home address at 8am this morning but when her regular taxi called at her house in St John’s Crescent, Trowbridge, to collect her at 9:45am, Ms Hall was not at home.

A relative called police at 11.40am to report her as missing.

Police are concerned that the 70-year-old may be wandering in the local area and may be in a confused and distressed state of mind.

Lillian is described as a white female, 5’2” tall, of average build with grey short untidy hair worn possibly with a hair band.

She is wearing a dark, blue skirt with white flowers on and normally wears a blue fleece but has left this at home so may be without a coat.

Inspector Paul Hawkins from Wiltshire police said: "We urgently need people in the local area to help us and keep their eyes open for Lillian. She has recently wandered away from her house and was found locally but in a confused state.

"Lillian is obviously vulnerable due to suffering from Alzheimer’s and we are concerned for her safety."

He added: "If you think you have seen her today, or know where she is please call police immediately. Lillian’s family urgently wants to find her and bring her home safely."
