Home care provider Right at Home UK has seen recent success in attempts to expand its UK provision into more communities, having confirmed the opening of its eighth office in Guildford and Farnham, while also guiding two more branches through the CQC registration process in Bournemouth and Cardiff.
The Guildford and Farnham office, owned by Alistair Shanks and under registered manager Hazel Butcher, has been successful in winning its first client within a week of opening, made possible through a strategy of ‘measured growth’ that focuses on identifying franchisees well placed to expand the Right at Home brand.
UK master franchisor, Ken Deary, explains: “I strongly believe that our measured UK expansion strategy will allow us to give unparalleled levels of support to our franchisees as they start up their businesses, providing high quality in-home care services.”
Although growing its portfolio in the UK care sector, since opening its first branch in Preston in 2010, the Right at Home brand already has a strong presence in the care markets of the United States and Brazil, operating in more than 250 offices.
Opening further branches in Bournemouth and Cardiff will see the provider’s number of UK branches reach double figures. Former police officer Joseph Guishard is poised to become the Cardiff franchise owner: he comments on the company’s innovative approach, “I have been impressed by the franchise package I have received to date and even more so by the training course which Right at Home have put together.
"I would describe the franchise fee as a bargain – without the experience and input that Right at Home have provided the set up cost would have been considerably higher. They have a great team, with passion and the drive to always improve, which was a key factor to why I chose them.
"Right at Home as a franchisor has been nothing but supportive during my process, and had a big role to play in me securing my finances. I personally believe that I would have not been able to open a care service business if it wasn't for the support from everyone there, especially Ken Deary, whose advice has been invaluable."
